A ética nos estudos acerca do medievo

Abstract

Este texto toma a ética como matéria de reflexão da filosofia medieval, embora sem a centralidade tida pela especulação metafísica e análise lógica. Os objetivos considerados visam 1) mostrar que a ética, de matriz estoica e patrística se inscreve no pensamento medieval como retidão de vida e 2) registar a sua presença na fase incoativa da universidade. This text takes ethics as a matter of reflection in medieval philosophy, although without the centrality given to metaphysical speculation and logical analysis. The objectives considered aim to 1) show that ethics, of stoic and patristic matrix is inscribed in medieval thought as righteousness of life and 2) register its presence in the incoative phase of the university.
