A Casa Real portuguesa no reinado de D. Manuel I

Abstract

A Casa Real é um tema menos estudado na historiografia portuguesa, em especial para os períodos mais recuados. No entanto, mesmo com a pouca documentação disponível, é possível tentar desenhar um modelo das atribuições e amplitude de influência da mesma. Tendo por âmbito temporal o reinado de D. Manuel I, pretende-se saber, num primeiro momento, a evolução, quais são e como se organizaram os cargos e funções da Casa Real. Num segundo momento, identificar quem são, e o que são, os personagens que assistem o rei, quais as redes familiares onde estão inseridos e quais os ganhos obtidos na escala de progressão social; The Portuguese Royal House in the reign of King Manuel I ABSTRACT: The Household is a less studied topic in Portuguese historiography, especially for more distant periods. However, even with the little documentation available, it is possible to try to design a model of its attributions and range of influence. Having as a temporal scope the reign of King Manuel I, it is intended, at first, to know the evolution, which are and how the positions and functions of the Household were organized. In a second moment, to identify who are, and what they are, the characters who served the king, which family networks they are inserted in and what gains are obtained in the social progression scale.
