Património, arquitetura e memórias coletivas - Proposta de requalificação do Terminal Rodoviário Luís Garcia, Aracaju, Brasil

Abstract

O estudo se desenvolve sobre a cidade de Aracaju-SE/Brasil, com o olhar direcionado à importância de preservar o patrimônio arquitetônico. A sociedade demonstra dificuldades de perceber a importância de reabilitar um edifício patrimonial, pois houve demolições de edifícios antigos e então a imagem da cidade antiga ficou esquecida. É intenção deste trabalho sensibilizar o leitor para enxergar valor à reabilitação de edifícios patrimoniais, tendo como exemplo o objeto de estudo, o Terminal Rodoviário Luís Garcia, obra do engenheiro Rafael Grimaldi, o qual foi requalificado, dentre outros que não foram. Para aprofundar a pesquisa, foram utilizadas fontes documentais, imagens, fotografias e um conjunto de elementos relevantes para o trabalho. Incluindo entrevistas realizadas com a intenção de recolher as memórias coletivas das pessoas que frequentaram a rodoviária. Finalmente foi desenvolvida uma proposta de projeto de reabilitação no edifício em questão, tendo em consideração as mesmas memórias coletadas; Heritage, Architecture and Collective Memories - Abstract: The study is developed on the city of Aracaju-SE/Brazil, with a focus on the importance of preserving the architectural heritage. Society demonstrates difficulties in realizing the importance of rehabilitating a heritage building, as there were demolitions of old buildings and so the image of the old city was forgotten. It is the intention of this work to sensitize the reader to see value in the rehabilitation of heritage buildings, taking as an example the object of study, the Luís Garcia Bus Terminal, the work of engineer Rafael Grimaldi, which was reclassified, among others that were not. To deepen the research, documentary sources, images, photographs and a set of elements relevant to the work were used. Including interviews carried out with the intention of collecting the collective memories of people who attended the bus station. Finally, a rehabilitation project proposal was developed for the building in question, taking into account the same collected memories.
