Abstract
Considering the great geographic extension and the great cultural heterogeinety og India, the Lusitanian presence was not uniform: an aspect that will condition the history of Portuguese on that domain, in a political, economic and cultural point of view. What we bring hare is a very specific aspect of our presence in the region: the study of the "other" women, taht is, the non-European woman that that lived in that Portuguese space.
