Satisfação laboral no ensino superior: estudo de caso na Facultad de Empresas, Finanzas y Turismo da Universidade de Extremadura

Abstract

Numa instituição de ensino superior, a satisfação dos docentes surge como uma componente vital que garante o seu bom funcionamento. O objetivo da presente dissertação consiste em analisar o nível de satisfação laboral entre os docentes da Facultad de Empresas, Finanzas y Turismo da Universidade de Extremadura (Cáceres-Espanha). Desse modo, pretende-se averiguar o nível de satisfação dos docentes relativamente às dimensões do trabalho, assim como analisar o valor atribuído à qualidade do serviço oferecido ao aluno e estudar as motivações que incentivaram os docentes a eleger a carreira docente. Para o efeito, foi aplicado um inquérito por questionário, junto de 59 docentes da referida Faculdade. As principais conclusões mostram que o nível de satisfação global é moderado (nem insatisfeito/ nem satisfeito). Relativamente à qualidade dos serviços oferecidos aos alunos, verifica-se que existe qualidade superior no profissionalismo docente, e falta de qualidade nas infraestruturas. No que respeita as motivações para carreira docente, as maiores cotações foram atribuídas às características intrínsecas da profissão; ABSTRACT: Job Satisfaction in Higher Education: Case Study at the Faculty of Business, Finance and Tourism of the University of Extremadura In an institution of higher education, the satisfaction of teachers appears as a vital component that ensures its proper functioning. The objective of this dissertation is to analyse the level of job satisfaction among the Faculty of Business, Finance and Tourism of the University of Extremadura (Cáceres, Spain). In this way, it is sought to ascertain the level of satisfaction of the teachers regarding the dimensions of the work, as well as to analyse the value attributed to the quality of the service offered to the student and to study the motivations that motivated the teachers to choose the teaching career. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was applied to 59 teachers of the Faculty. The main conclusions show that the level of overall satisfaction is moderate (neither dissatisfied nor satisfied). Regarding the quality of the services offered to the students, it is verified that there is superior quality in the professionalism of teachers, and lack of quality in the infrastructures. Regarding the motivations for the teaching career, the highest quotations were attributed to the intrinsic characteristics of the profession.
