No que respeita ao nível socioeconómico verificou-se que este parece afetar significativamente o apoio à autonomia que os participantes sentem que receberam dos seus pais; Autonomy: a quantitative study about the perception of parental practices from small children parents Abstract: This study aims to understand the participants' parenting practices, namely of Autonomy Support, and to explore the possible relationship of the socioeconomic level and of the parenting practices of the participants' parents in those practices. To this end, 490 parents answered online to a sociodemographic questionnaire and to two Portuguese versions of the Parent as Social Context Questionnaire (PASCQ-pais; PASCQ-children; Sá, Vaz Velho e Almeida, 2021). Overall, the results show that both participants, and their parents demonstrate that the more positive parenting practices they use, the less negative parenting practices they use. Regarding intergenerational transmission, the parenting practices of the parents seem not to strongly determine their children's practices. About the socioeconomic level, it was also found that the sociecomimic level seems to significantly affect the support for autonomy that the participants report having received from their parents.por
