A agricultura da região Alentejo nos últimos 25 anos e perspetivas no quadro da PAC pós 2013

Abstract

Este trabalho tem por objetivo contribuir para o estudo da evolução da agricultura da região Alentejo desde a adesão de Portugal à União Europeia e está organizado em quatro capítulos principais. O primeiro enquadra a região do Alentejo relativamente ao Continente português, com destaque para a estrutura das explorações agrícolas, atividades de produção vegetal e animal e características dos produtores. O Capítulo II retrata a agricultura do Alentejo e portuguesa no contexto da PAC. A análise estatística a nível de desagregação geográfica de concelho constitui o Capítulo III, para o que foram construídas três bases de dados - explorações agrícolas, atividades vegetais e pecuária com terra -, sobre as quais se procedeu a análise univariada e multivariada; as bases de dados tiveram como suporte principal os resultados dos Recenseamentos Agrícolas de 1989, 1999 e 2009 publicados pelo INE. The target of this work presentation is to contribute for the study of the evolution of the agriculture in Alentejo region since Portugal joined the European Union and is organised in four principle chapters. The first chapter fits the Alentejo region in relation with the Portuguese continent, with emphasis for the structure of the agriculture farms, vegetal and animal production activities and producers features. The second chapter withdraws the Alentejo and Portuguese agriculture among the PAC context. The statistic analysis on the geographic splitting level of the area forms the third chapter, for which three databases have been created - agriculture farms, vegetables and livestock farming activities - in which we have carry out on the singlevariate and multivariate evaluation; these databases have been major holded on the results of the Agriculture census of 1989, 1999 and 2009 published by the INE. The fourth chapter gives a point of view for Alentejo agriculture, after 2013 with the PAC.
