Contributo para a validação da Escala Catherine Bergego em Portugal: fiabilidade Intra e Inter observador

Abstract

Enquadramento: A negligência unilateral caracteriza-se pela incapacidade de detetar, explorar e dar resposta a estímulos presentes no hemiespaço ou hemicorpo equerdo. é prevalente em cerca de metade das pessoas com AVC do hemisfério direito, sendo interferente no processo de reabilitação e um fator preditor de dependência funcional na pessoa após a lesão cerebral. A utilização de instrumentos de avaliação é fundamental para identificar estes distúrbios. Catherine Bergego Scale é o instrumento identificado pelo Colégio da Especialidade de Enfermagem de Reabilitação para a avaliação do esquecimento unilateral, não se encontrando esta escala traduzida para português de Portugal nem validada para a população portuguesa. Objetivo: Descrever o processo de desenvolvimento de competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Reabilitação e das competências de Mestre em Enfermagem, bem como as atividades desenvolvidas em contexto de Estágio, destacando a problemática da negligência unilateral e o estudo da escala Catherine Bergego. Metodologia: O recurso a metodologia descritiva e observacional e à análise reflexiva relativa à aquisição e desenvolvimento de competências. Resultados: A realização dos estágios, a elaboração deste relatório e a reflexão sobre as competências, possibilitaram o processo de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento de competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Reabilitação. O estudo sobre a Escala Catherine Bergego demonstrou que esta não é aplicável às pessoas em estado de doença aguda. Conclusão: A Escala Catherine Bergego não é aplicável às pessoas em estado de doença aguda. Objective: To describe the process of development and acquisition of common and specific competencies of the Nurse Specialist in Rehabilitation Nursing and the competencies of Master in Nursing, as well as the activities developed in the context of Internship, highlighting the problem of unilateral negligence and the study of the Catherine Bergego scale. Methodology: The use of descriptive and observational methodology and reflexive analysis related to the acquisition and development of competencies. Results: The realization of internships, the preparation of this report and the reflection on competencies, enabled the process of learning and development of common and specific competencies of the Nurse Specialist in Rehabilitation Nursing. The Catherine Bergego Scale study showed that it is not applicable to people in acute illness. Conclusion: The Catherine Bergego Scale is not applicable to people in acute illness. Further studies are needed in nursing and unilateral neglect.
