Prática de ensino supervisionada em educação pré-escolar e ensino do 1º ciclo do ensino básico: educar para a cidadania através de literatura infantil

Abstract

Este estudo surge no âmbito da unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada inserida no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, tendo por finalidade a obtenção do grau de mestre nos contextos referidos. Tendo como pano de fundo a Estratégia Nacional de Educação para a Cidadania, este estudo procura compreender de que modo os professores e os educadores podem promover a cidadania através da literatura infantil no contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, surgindo a grande questão de investigação deste estudo que é “Como podemos educar para a cidadania através da Literatura Infantil?”. Neste sentido, o objetivo geral é “Compreender como promover a cidadania através da literatura infantil no contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico”. A metodologia seguida enquadra-se no processo de investigação-ação. Como instrumentos de recolha de dados recorri à observação participante para a produção de notas de campo, a reflexões semanais, a um guião de entrevista que permitiu compreender as conceções das crianças sobre racismo, multiculturalidade e migração, antes e depois de realizar a leitura de histórias sobre estas temáticas, a registos das crianças, a registos fotográf icos e a registos audiovisuais. Os participantes do estudo foram as crianças dos contextos onde realizei a minha Prática de Ensino Supervisionada em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Estes aprofundaram e consolidaram conceções sobre cidadania, adquirindo boas práticas e melhorando o espírito de agir e pensar eticamente e ampliaram o seu reportório literário; Abstract: This study appears in the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice curricular unit inserted in the master’s degree of Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, having the purpose to obtain the master's degree in the established contexts. Based on the National Strategy for Citizenship Education, this study seeks to understand how teachers and educators can promote citizenship through children’s literature in the Pre- School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Teaching Basic context, lifting the great research question of this study which is “How can we educate for citizenship through Children’s Literature?”. Therefore, the general objective is “To understand how to promote citizenship through children's literature in the Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education context”. The following methodology is part of the action-research process. As instruments of data collection, I used participant observation to produce field notes, weekly reflections, an interview guide that will allow to understand children's conceptions about racism, multiculturalism and migration, before and after reading stories about these topics, children's records, photographic records and audiovisual records. The study participants were children from the contexts where I carried out my Supervised Teaching Practice in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. These learned and consolidated concepts about citizenship, acquiring good practices and improving the spirit of acting and thinking ethically and broadening their literary repertoire.
