Reabilitação "versus" construção nova

Abstract

A consciência da importância social e cultural da preservação do património histórico é essencial para um país. É preciso mudar a linha de pensamento no nosso sector da construção, pois temos edifícios com valor histórico elevado e em avançado estando de degradação contrastando com o excesso de construção nova que existe no nosso país. O presente documento pretende contribuir para uma avaliação entre a reabilitação realizada no nosso país e a construção nova que tanto cresceu no final do século XX e no início do século XXI. Para isto vão ser analisados alguns dados da construção no nosso país e tentar perceber qual será o melhor caminho que este sector deve seguir. É realizado o estudo prático a quatro edifícios que já foram reabilitados, com o objetivo de concluir se foi ou não a melhor solução, principalmente a nível económico. We must change the line of thought in our construction sector, because we have buildings with higher historical value and being advanced degradation in contrast to the excess of new construction that exists in our country. This document aims to contribute to an evaluation of rehabilitation conducted in our country and new construction that both grew in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century. To this will be analyzed the numbers of construction in our country and try to figure out wich way the industry should follow. It is performed at four case study buildings have been rehabilitated, in order to conclude whether or not it was the best solution, especially economically.
