Petrografia das alterações hidrotermais da Mina de Mociços. Estudo preliminar.

Abstract

Abstract: Mociços mine is described as a deposit of cooper with an epithermal origin. This work, based on the petrographic description and analysis of 25 thin sections, presents the hydrothermal alterations found. These alterations comprise sericitization, chloritization, muscovitization and silicification of the host rocks. This paragenesis allowed us to confirm the epithermal character of this deposit and detail the mineralogy of the hydrothermal systems.
