Antroponímia: contributo para o estudo dos nomes próprios em Angola

Abstract

O presente trabalho leva-nos a fazer um estudo sobre atribuição dos nomes próprios e seus significados. O estudo sobre antroponímia tem sido muito explorado tanto a nível mundial, como também em Angola de forma a perceber qual o modo em que algumas línguas nativas atribuem os nomes próprios e apelidos. O significado do nome também é muito explorado, principalmente em nomes atribuídos em línguas bantu, isto é, só para não falar também da legislação do país que tem um papel de orientar sobre como se deve atribuir um nome para não causar constrangimentos no momento do seu registo. Os nomes próprios em Angola são atribuídos tendo em conta os fatores que envolvem a família, a sociedade em que o indivíduo está inserido, a história do país, a globalização, até mesmo o fator económico. O nome próprio pode surgir de fontes históricas, normalmente bíblicas ou modernas. Os nomes próprios em Angola, muitas vezes, ligam-se à história do próprio país, das circunstâncias familiares e do convívio das línguas nelas existentes. As circunstâncias do nascimento de uma criança também constituem um motivo para se nomear desta ou daquela maneira. Os nomes, por sua vez, devem ser bem selecionados e enquadrados de acordo com cada realidade ou cultura. Neste âmbito, com o presente trabalho pretende-se fazer uma abordagem sobre a situação antroponímica de Angola e a forma como são atribuídos os nomes próprios no país, principalmente em Luanda. The study of anthroponymy has been much explored both worldwide and in Angola in order to understand how some native languages give their first names and surnames. The meaning of the name is also widely explored, mainly in names given in Bantu languages, that is, not to mention also the legislation of the country which has a role in guiding how to give a name so as not to cause embarrassment at the time of registration. . Proper names in Angola are given taking into account the factors that involve the family, the society in which the individual is inserted, the country's history, globalization, even the economic factor. The proper name can come from historical, biblical or modern sources. First names in Angola are often linked to the country's own history, family circumstances and the coexistence of the languages there. The circumstances of the birth of a child also constitute a reason for naming this or that way. Names, in turn, should be well selected and framed according to each reality or culture. In this context, the present work intends to make an approach about the anthroponomic situation of Angola and the way the proper names are attributed in the country, mainly in Luanda. Our main goal is to know the meanings of proper names and the contexts that influence their attributions.
