A cenografia e a ópera em portugal no século XVIII: os teatros régios: 1750-1793

Abstract

Este trabalho está dividido em duas parte: na primeira, aborda-se o processo de implementação e construção dos teatros régios em Portugal nos reinados de D- José I e de D. Maria I, como instrumento de poder político, para além de artístico. Numa segunda parte, apresenta-se o corpus das cenografias que são conhecidas em território nacional e a teorização sobre a maquinaria teatral ao serviço do poder real; ABSTACT: This work is divided in two parts, On the first part the subject of discussion is the implementation and construction of the royal theatres in Portugal during the reigning period of king José I and D. Maria I, as manifestations of artistic and political power. On the second part of this study, we present the existent scenographical corpus and a theorization concerning theatrical machinery as a tool of the Royal authority and puissance.
