Cartografia estrutural da região de Viana do Alentejo – Alvito; organização tectono-estratigráfica do SW da Zona de Ossa-Morena

Abstract

The structural features of the SW border of the Ossa-Morena Zone is highly controlled by subduction-collision processes related with last stages of the Variscan Cycle. Structural mapping of Viana do Alentejo – Alvito region allows the characterization of several tectono-stratigraphic units with discrepant tectono-metamorphic evolution, including relative autochthonous and alochthonous units, all of them detached by tangencial 1st order shear zones.
