Abstract

The PLAY/ACT Handbook is a key outcome of the Erasmus+ project PLAY/ACT: Placemaking as Youth Activism, coordinated by ARTERIA_LAB at the University of Évora, in partnership with institutions in Italy, Hungary, Spain, and Portugal. Aimed at educators, organizations, and individuals interested in placemaking and urban challenges, the handbook offers a critical reflection on the experiences and outcomes of the project rather than a traditional guide or methodology manual. It emphasizes the diverse approaches and contexts—urban, rural, formal, and informal—explored by the students and local teams involved in PLAY/ACT.
