Clínica e cirurgia em animais de companhia

Abstract

Este estágio curricular foi realizado na CliniSPAD, no Funchal, ilha da Madeira, de outubro de 2014 a abril de 2015, sob a orientação da Dr. Raquel Fino. O relatório aqui apresentado divide-se em duas partes. Na primeira faz-se a descrição da casuística assistida e uma revisão bibliográfica dos casos com maior prevalência, seguido de um caso clínico-cirúrgico. Na segunda desenvolve-se o tema “Dermatite Alérgica À Picada da Pulga” (DAPP), com enquadramento teórico sobre o vetor – a pulga: sua morfologia, epidemiologia e biologia – e sobre o tema em si - fisiopatologia, epidemiologia, sinais clínicos, diagnóstico e tratamento de DAPP, seguido de um caso clínico sobre o tema; ABSTRACT: Small Animal Medicine and Surgery This internship was conducted at CliniSPAD in Funchal, Madeira Island, from October 2014 to April 2015, under the supervision of Dr. Raquel Fino. This report is divided in two parts. The first consists of a statistical analysis of the cases observed during the internship and a literature review of cases with the highest prevalence, followed by a clinical and surgical case. In the second is developed the theme “Flea Allergic Dermatitis” (FAD), with theoretical background of the vector – the flea: their morphology, epidemiology and biology – and the theme itself – pathophysiology, epidemiology, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of FAD, followed by a clinical case on the subject.
