Ferramentas de telemedicina para a monitorização e diagnóstico da população idosa

Abstract

A telemedicina e a capacidade de fornecer cuidados à saúde atrav és de tecnologias de informa ção, permitindo que os pacientes sejam atendidos imediatamente por médicos sem a necessidade de estarem em um mesmo local. Os benefí cios da telemedicina são in úmeros, como a redu cão dos custos de tratamento e transporte e uma maior abrangência na área de atendimento. A telemedicina pode ser classificada em três grupos, sendo eles, por tempo, pelo tipo de aplica cão, e pela especialidade m édica. Estes sistemas devem permitir uma p ós avalia cão feita por especialistas quando esses não estão presentes no atendimento ao paciente. Nesta disserta ção e proposto o desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta para o suporte ao diagn óstico e cuidado a popula cão idosa. Mais especifícamente, e apresentado um sistema web para representar as informações m édicas e ferramentas para monitorizar sinais vitais como batimentos cardi acos; Abstract: Telemedicine is the ability to provide health care interactively using telecommunications technologies, allowing patients to be treated by doctors immediately without the need to be in the same place. Telemedicine has reduced the cost of health care and increased effi ciency through better management of chronic diseases, reduced travel times, and shorter hospitalizations and fewer in number. The telemedicine can be grouped into three groups according to their classification, by time, the type of application and the classi cation of telemedicine by medical specialties. The doctors and examiners must rely on systems or second opinion from experts who are not present in the query. In this dissertation is proposed a framework to support the diagnosis and care of the elderly people. More specifically, presented a web system to represent and reason about medical information and tools to monitor the vital signs like the heart rate.
