Diálogos entre o território e a ruína - Ensaio Projetual para a intervenção nas Salinas e Moinho de São Francisco em Faro

Abstract

A presente dissertação é uma reflexão sobre a ruína, que procura compreender a evolução do conceito e a sua influência no projeto de arquitetura. Faz-se uma viagem à Villa Adriana, e analisa-se a ruína Canopus, através do olhar dos arquitetos que a visitaram, interpretando os seus desenhos. Desenvolve-se um estudo sobre as Salinas de São Francisco, em Faro, e um projeto de arquitetura considerando a importância das suas ruínas. Entre ruínas e olhares, revela-se a lição das ruínas, e sublinha-se o papel do arquiteto como seu interveniente; - ABSTRACT: Architecture without program - dialogues between territory and ruin - The present work study the ruin, seeking to understand the evolution of the concept and his role on the architecture practice. The study goes in a journey to Adrian Villa, and explore the Canopus, through the eyes of the architects, studying the drawings they made, and their influence. It carries a study of São Francisco salines, in Faro, and develops an architectural project concerning the existing ruins. Between ruins and viewpoints, the ruins lesson is revealed, and the role of the architect is highlighted.
