Ecologia do envelhecimento na Região da Guarda

Abstract

Sendo um tema abstracto, evolucionista e contemporâneo, deve interpretar-se como uma caracterização da Ecologia Geral, Ecologia Humana, Envelhecimento e Região da Guarda. A Ecologia Geral tem como objecto de estudo os ecossistemas. A Ecologia Humana visa desenvolver a temática das relações recíprocas e intrínsecas entre o Homem e o meio ambiente. O envelhecimento inicia-se no momento da concepção. É um processo normal, progressivo, irreversível e individual resultante da interacção entre factores biológicos, psicológicos e sociais. O envelhecimento demográfico caracteriza-se pela diminuição de jovens e aumento da população com sessenta e cinco e mais anos de idade. Da região da Guarda caracterizamos, os catorze Concelhos que a constituem, nos anos de 1991 e 2001, sob o ponto de vista social e demográfico, com o objectivo de identificar os recursos institucionais existentes destinados aos idosos residentes nesses Concelhos. /*** Abstract - Being an abstract, evolutionist and contemporary theme, it must be interpreted as a characterization of the General Ecology, the Human Ecology, the Aging Process and the Region of Guarda. The General Ecology has as object of study the ecosystems. The Human Ecology seeks to develop the thematic of reciprocal and intrinsic relationships between Man and environment. Aging begins at the moment of conception. It is a normal, progressive, irreversible and individual process, resultant from the interaction among biological, psychological and social factors. The demographic aging is characterized by the decrease in youth and the increase in the population over sixty-five years old. About the region of Guarda, we have characterized the fourteen Counties that constitute this region, by the Census of 1991 and 2001, on a social and demographic point of vim, with the aim of identifying the existent institutional resources destined for the elderly resident in those Counties.
