«Através da Natureza Campestre e Mansa» : Agrarismo e Lutas pela Justiça Ambiental em Portugal (Séculos XIX e XX)

Abstract

Este texto passa em revista a historiografia portuguesa sobre os movimentos camponeses desde o século XVIII e tipifica formas de conflito ambiental na agricultura comercial, na indústria mineira e nas pescas já identificadas desde a segunda metade do século XIX. Finalmente, procuram-se padrões na evolução dos conflitos ambientais e assinala-se a natureza da mudança na era da ecologia. = This text reviews the Portuguese historiography on peasant movements since the 18th century and typifies forms of environmental conflict in commercial agriculture, mining and fisheries already identified since the second half of the 19th century. Finally, we identify patterns in the evolution of environmental conflicts and the nature of change in the age of ecology is highlighted.
