Abstract

Resumo: Com os novos valores, que têm vindo a marcar as sociedades pós-modernas, muitos deles corporizados pela chamada classe média, corporizados pela consciência ambiental e tudo o que é verde , assiste-se à emergência do turismo verde, ecológico, sustentável. Estas formas de turismo têm vindo a marcar terreno, sobretudo em zonas rurais em decadência acelerada, traduzidas no êxodo rural e no envelhecimento populacional, que tem contribuindo através de projetos de turismo em espaço rural e que têm contribuído para a revitalização desses territórios onde, não raras as vezes, se assiste à inversão da importância económica dos setores de atividade, onde a atividade turística ultrapassa a atividade agrícola, quer em termos de emprego, quer em termos de criação de riqueza. Abstract: With the new values that have marked the postmodern societies, many of them embodied by the so-called middle class, embodied by environmental awareness and all that is green, there is the emergence of green, ecological and sustainable tourism. These forms of tourism have been making a mark, especially in rural areas in an accelerated decline, resulting in the rural exodus and the aging of the population, which has contributed through tourism projects in rural areas and which have contributed to the revitalization of these territories where, not infrequently, there is a reversal of the economic importance of the sectors of activity, where tourism activity exceeds agricultural activity, both in terms of employment and in terms of wealth creation.
